Join us For our new innovative Elementary Band!
Students will be able to immerse themselves in the captivating art of music as they learn to play a new instrument of their choice! Students can choose between 4 instruments: the saxophone, the flute, the clarinet, or the horn! Students will meet twice weekly as they learn to play these magical instruments and can soon play songs together!
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ATTENDING CORAL COVE ELEMENTARY
Students will meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 45 minutes with Ms. Rebecca (Ms. Garcia's daughter). Is your child part of musical theater? No worries! They can still be part of the elementary band! All they have to do is sign up for Session 2 from 3:15-4:00! Is your child part of aftercare? Good news, they can join us for Session 1 from 2:15-3:00!
SESSION 1: 2:15-3:00 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
SESSION 2: 3:15-4:00 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Each session will cost $20 per day (if the student is in aftercare, it's $15 per day)! At the start of each month, each student must pay a $10 instrument rental fee as they will be able to take these wonderful instruments home!
My name is Rebecca Marie Garcia, and I am a student at Florida International University, pursuing a degree in Music Education. While the flute is my primary instrument, I am also proficient in piccolo, alto saxophone, and trumpet, and I am currently expanding my skills by learning piano. As a lifelong musician, I am deeply committed to using the power of music to inspire and enrich the lives of others. Throughout my musical journey, I have had the privilege of participating in a variety of enriching experiences, including six years in marching band, where I served as drum major, as well as conducting my high school concert band. I have also performed in several collegiate honor bands and gained valuable teaching experience across multiple grade levels. With a passion for both music and education, I am excited to continue fostering a love for music in the next generation. As a proud alumna of Coral Cove, I carry the spirit of my school with me: Once a Pelican, always a Pelican!
Through the arts, children benefit tremendously. They improve their communication skills, build confidence, develop creativity, and learn to work as a team while learning from and lifting each other. The friendships and memories built on and off the stage for a performance are endless. I am looking forward to our 3-week program this summer. I am so excited!!! I can not wait to see you!!!!
